Chainsaw cutting through a tree trunk

Tree Trimming & Pruning

Proper pruning keeps your trees healthy, safe, and well-shaped. Our veteran-owned crews thin crowns, remove deadwood, and clear limbs from roofs and lines across the Palouse, LC Valley, and Spokane area.

Cuts made for a reason, not for show

Good pruning is not about cutting a tree back, it is about removing the right limbs for the right reason. We prune for health, structure, clearance, and safety, and we leave the tree looking natural rather than sheared.

We do not top trees. Topping creates weak, fast-growing regrowth and long-term decay. Instead we make targeted cuts that the tree can actually heal, following accepted arboriculture practices.

Thinning, deadwooding, shaping, and clearance

Common scopes include crown thinning to improve airflow and light, deadwood removal to take out dead and dying limbs, structural pruning on young trees, and clearance work over roofs, driveways, and around utility lines.

If a tree is too far gone to save through pruning, we will say so and talk through removal instead. Either way you get an honest read and a written, fixed price.

For most species in our area, late winter to early spring (while the tree is dormant) is ideal because cuts heal fast and the structure is easy to read with the leaves off. Dead, broken, and hazardous limbs can be removed any time of year. We will tell you the right window for your specific trees during the walkthrough.
